2025-06-11 19:31

On June 7, the Chinese Embassy in Uganda hosted the "Open Day of the Embassy" and celebration activities for Children’s Day. About 150 people from Chinese communities in Uganda and Ugandan families participated in the event.

Ambassador H.E. Zhang Lizhong and his wife Mrs. Lin Yaqun welcomed the children and their parents and encouraged both the children to learn from each other and deepen friendship so as to become bridge of the friendly exchanges between the two civilizations. He also expressed that with the joint efforts of both sides, the bilateral  relationship has been further strengthened and the cooperation in various fields has been constantly developed. The “Open Day” activities provided opportunities for the public to learn about the daily work and life of diplomats in the Embassy. The Embassy would continue to serve the overseas Chinese communities in Uganda.

The "Open Day" activities mainly include touring the Embassy, art performances, quizzes, tea ceremony, painting competition, etc.
