On 23 July, Counsellor Wang Jianxun of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda accompanied Uganda's Vice President Jessica Alupo, relevant ministers, and the FAO Representative in Uganda on a visit to the China-Uganda Agricultural Cooperation Industrial Park in Luweero to address key challenges in the Park's transition from a hub for commercial farming, agro-processing, technology transfer, and export-oriented manufacturing into next phase as a comprehensive industrial park. Representatives of enterprises operating in the park also participated in the visit.

Counsellor Wang noted that the implementation of China's zero-tariff policy has significantly boosted bilateral trade. He reaffirmed China's readiness to deepen economic, trade and investment cooperation with Uganda, share development opportunities, promote agro-industrialization and industrial development, to achieve mutual benefit and common prosperity.
H.E. Vice President Alupo expressed appreciation for the longstanding contributions made by Chinese enterprises to Uganda's industrialization and socio-economic development. She emphasized that the Ugandan government will continue to improve the investment climate and upgrade infrastructure to provide stronger support for deeper bilateral cooperation.
