On July 1, Mr. Fan Xuecheng, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda, published a signed article titled “The CPC at 105: China’s Modernization and Uganda’s Vision in Resonance” in New Vision and Nile Post.

The article emphasizes that the leadership of the CPC is the historic choice of the Chinese people, and also the fundamental guarantee for China’s modernization. China is Uganda’s companion on the path to modernization, and the two sides should call for a more just and equitable global governance system.
The article further elaborates that both the CPC and National Resistance Movement of Uganda have adhered to independent development paths suited to their national conditions, and the two sides enjoy deep political mutual trust. In recent years, China-Uganda cooperation in infrastructure, trade, health care and people-to-people exchanges has been continuing to deepen, injecting impetus into Uganda’s industrialization and modernization. China stands ready to work with Uganda to translate party-to-party trust and development visions into state-to-state cooperation and practical results, and to jointly promote solidarity, cooperation and common development of the Global South.
