On March 6, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Fan Xuecheng of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda attended the event titled “Mutual Learning Among Civilizations, Women Advancing Together — China-Uganda Women’s Cultural Exchange Gathering,” organized by the Chinese Women and Children Union in Uganda. Representatives of the overseas Chinese community and some members of the Embassy gathered together to celebrate the International Women’s Day.

Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Fan extended festive greetings to all Chinese women in Uganda. He introduced the achievements of China–Uganda cooperation, particularly the latest progress in people-to-people exchanges since the launch of the China-Uganda Year of People-to-People Exchanges. He encouraged Chinese women in Uganda to actively integrate into the overall framework of China–Uganda cooperation, play their roles as bridges and bonds in their respective positions, and contribute women strength to promoting practical cooperation and closer ties between the peoples of the two countries across various fields.

The event featured Chinese tea art and traditional Oriental flower arrangement as its main cultural elements, complemented by a brief mindfulness meditation session, allowing participants to appreciate the serene charm embodied in Eastern culture.
