On January 9, Minister Counselor Fan Xuecheng visited Jinja District. During the visit, he held in-depth discussions with Hon. Kateregga Musaazi Ahmed, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Jinja District, as well as representatives from the Local Council V (LC5) and other local authorities. He also visited the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Jinja Campus for an exchange, where he was joined by Dr. Joshua Mugambwa, member of the school's management committee, and other officials.

Mr. Fan provided an in-depth introduction to the four Global Initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, the experiences of Chinese modernization, the great significance of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, and the substance and achievements of the China-Uganda Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Hon. Kateregga and other officials noted that Chinese enterprises and investors have made significant contributions to the region's socio-economic development by establishing factories and training technical workers. Dr. Joshua Mugambwa and other representatives from the business school expressed that Uganda-China educational cooperation has opened up broad prospects for local youth, and they look forward to further strengthening exchange ties to enable more students to learn about and experience Chinese modernization and scientific and technological innovation, for the benefit of both peoples.
