On June 27, 2025, Minister Counsellor Fan Xuecheng of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda visited the Kingfisher Oil Field to attend a free medical camp and medical equipment handover ceremony organized by CNOOC Uganda Ltd. Officials from the Ministry of Health, the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, and Kikuube District were also present.

Minister Counselor Fan said in his speech that the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the implementation of Follow-Up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was held not long ago. China-Africa hand in hand promoted the six initiatives of modernization and jointly implemented the "Ten Partnership Actions". The Chinese medical team has made valuable contributions in Uganda over years, enriching the connotation of China-Uganda medical and health cooperation and bringing the two peoples closer. This event was supported by CNOOC, which fully fulfilled the social responsibilities of Chinese enterprises and promoted the well-being of the people.

The Chinese medical team provided free medical services to local residents and donated a batch of urgently needed equipment to grassroots health institutions, receiving a warm welcome from the community.
