The year 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Uganda. To commemorate the historical occasion and to further reflect and promote the friendly and fraternal relations between our two countries and two peoples, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Uganda is holding a photo contest with the theme of “My Encounter/Sentiments with China/Uganda” for Chinese and Ugandan citizens.

Terms and conditions for the competition are as follows:

1.  Theme

“My Encounter/Sentiments with China/Uganda”

2.  Requirements

a) Photo entries should be original, capturing the theme strikingly, and abiding by relevant laws and regulations of China and Uganda.

b) Participants may be an individual or in a group, with each submitting one entry for the contest only.

c) Photo entries should be submitted in soft copy by September 15, 2022 via email to chinauganda60photo@gmail.com, with “entrant’s name - photo entries’ name” as subject. The photo entries should be in PNG or JPEG format, with their resolution no less than 300 PPI, and size of each file not exceeding 30 MB.

d) Please provide the information and contact details of the participants and the photo entries should be accompanied by caption and a registration form (attached herewith), completed in Chinese/English.

e) By participating in they contest, participants acknowledge and accept that the submission of any photo entry shall not be as the result of outsourcing from any third party. By sending their photo entries, all participants by default authorize, consent and grant the Embassy the absolute and unrestricted intellectual property rights therefrom, including the right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and/or otherwise deal with (whether for commercial or noncommercial purpose) of the submitted photo entries, without financial burdens on the Embassy.

g) The right of final explanation of the terms and conditions of this contest rest in the Embassy.

3. Awards  

The Embassy will select eight (8) finalists from the entries. The awards are scheduled as follows:

One (1) winner, with a prize of a camera;

Two (2) first runners-up, with a prize of a laptop computer each;

Five (5) second runners-up, with a prize of smartphone each.
